Baked Pear with Autumn Granola

I can't believe this day has actually arrived! The day we delivered our first all organic boxes! We've been talking about this for what feels like FOREVER and we've been planning for months, maybe years! I hope you are happy with what you received. I'd say it's a pretty awesome start to what I know will catch on quickly. Thank you for being one of our first organic box customers! Because of you we will be able to help organic farms and suppliers see less of their hard work and their beautiful product go to waste! Today I feel like celebrating, so it seemed as though a dessert was in order! We haven't seen pears yet in our boxes this season and they've been calling to me ever since we rescued

Smokey Roasted Carrots with Tahini Ranch

We've got bundles of carrots in our boxes this week, and if you're soup-ed out, you can roast them for a quick and easy side dish! Roasted carrots are my new favorite side, they're sweet and nutty, and have a soft texture like a roasted sweet potato. You can roast them whole, slice them into smaller chunks, or halve them. If you're wondering what Tahini is, I'll fill you in! Tahini is sesame seed paste, think peanut butter- but sesame seeds. Tahini is that zippy ingredient in hummus that gives it its tang, and is a really great base for sauces and dressings. I blended a few ingredients with a spoonful of tahini to make a vegan ranch, and I now want to cover my entire life in that sauce. You

Roasted Apple Walnut Pancakes

We've been getting tons of locally farmed apples, and we are so excited to share them with you! This week we have Cortland Apples, and they are so crisp and sweet, perfect for snacking, or roasting for these warm and fluffy pancakes! Any apple recipe that involves no-peeling is a winner in my book! All you do here is dice some apples up, sprinkle them with cinnamon, and roast! For the last ten minutes of cooking, sprinkle some walnuts on the same sheet pan to enhance their flavor, too! Lets dig in! Roasted Apple Walnut Pancakes Serves 4 Ingredients 4 Perfectly

Sweet Potato Chili

It's chili season, friends. Between the fall breeze in the air and football on Sundays, how can you say no to a delicious bowl of chili? Today, we're sharing our recipe for sweet potato chili, which is featuring, you guessed it, those gorgeous local sweet potatoes from your box, and also red bell pepper! If you haven't put sweet potato in your chili yet, you've been missing out! The addition of the potato adds a natural sweetness to a spicy soup, and also makes it hearty for those chilly (chili, ha) morning tailgates! I love making a big batch of soup like this because of the versatility. You can add whatever you have in your pantry or fridge that needs to be used. I had lots of leftover shr
