Roasted Rainbow Carrot Salad with goat cheese and balsamic coffee glaze.

Another Thursday already!? Wow! Hope you're having a great week and enjoying this sunshine Ohio has been showing us. We're trying to be patient with spring, but seeing those beautiful rainbow carrots this week has us craving all sorts of bright colors on our plates! This week, we are really excited to partner with our friends, Mocina Coffee. As a local company, we love to share our favorite local companies, too! Mocina is based out of Cleveland, OH, working with fair trade coffee farmers in Guatemala. We're using their rich coffee to make a balsamic drizzle for our roasted carrots! It's going to be your new favorite topping, perfect over roasted veggies, caprese salad, or tossing into a vi

Sweet Potato Fry-Day!

The secret to a successful Friday is an Organic Perfectly Imperfect Produce box, and a big ol' plate of these Sweet Potato Oven Fries! If you've been wanting to make the perfect oven fry, this recipe will do the trick. Season sliced, fresh sweet potatoes with olive oil, salt and pepper. Be patient while they bake, giving you some time to whip up an addicting dipping sauce, and then feast! These fries are getting dunked in a sweet and spicy sesame aioli, but also work with the classic ketchup, and also a favorite of mine- honey mustard. What is your favorite dipping sauce? The secret to these fries is flipping half way through cooking, making sure each side gets crispy and golden brown! Let

Poblano Chicken Fajitas

I'm not sure what I love more, taco night, or 30 minute meals. Luckily this week, it's one in the same. If you saw the deep green and shiny peppers in your box, you got some poblanos! They were left to go to waste at a local wholesaler. We knew you could get creative with them. Poblanos are a mild to medium hot pepper, all of them ranging in an assortment of heat, and if you're not a huge fan of the fire, feel free to remove the seeds and stems like a bell pepper or jalapēno! Poblanos have a crisp crunch like a bell pepper, with a touch of sweetness. They add depth of flavor in cooking, and I think they make the perfect addition to chicken fajitas. If you don't eat meat, you can sub tofu or

Organic Spiced Pear Scones

Don't despair, we've got pears! Happy organic delivery day! Is delivery day your favorite day of the week, too? We love catching your unboxing videos and seeing what you come up with each week in the kitchen! We're pretty excited about this week's box - gorgeous organic zucchini, leeks, pineapples, carrots and lots of other organic goodies. But mainly we are so thrilled about the pears! They're crisp and juicy and are perfect in this scone recipe. Scones are like buttery, fluffy, shortbread biscuits. I ate my body weight in them while in Ireland last year, and I'm always on the hunt for a similar recipe. If you've also eaten your body weight in scones while abroad, try these and let me kno

Buffalo Cauliflower Pizza

It's Valentine's day, and here at PIP, we're seeing red, buffalo wing sauce red! How romantic! Grab a slice of this spicy veggie pizza and snuggle up for a night in! I want to tell you guys something, I don't like cauliflower crust pizza. I'm a firm believer that pizza should be pizza and that's that. It's nothing against the delicious vegetable, and maybe I've never had a good recipe, but please, oh please, just trust me here. I'm a huge buffalo chicken fan, whether it be in dip, wings, pizza, you name it, I want it. Tossing our Perfectly Imperfect cauliflower with buffalo sauce and ranch, and adding it to a pizza might be my best idea yet. The cauliflower gets a little caramelized from

Green Juice

TGIF! Organic boxes are heading out today, and they're packed with some real winners. A mixture of celery, apples, colorful carrots, pears, romaine, & lots of other goodies. If you're wondering what to do with your box this weekend, you can always add the apples to oatmeal, the pears to a salad with crumbled blue cheese, and of course, celery in a big pot of chicken soup. We decided to get our juice on with this week's goodies, and it turned out simply delicious. If you don't have a juicer, never fear, you can blend your fruits and veggies, and strain the pulp through a "nut-milk bag". (trust us, just type nut milk bag into amazon and you'll have exactly what you need). Juicing is a gre

Blueberry Muffin Top Cookies

Hi there, friends! Can't believe another week has gone by, but thrilled to enjoy a little bit of a warm up from last week's polar vortex chills. Did you make a pot of stew? This week, we have lots of fruit in our boxes, and that made me crave blueberry muffins. I have to admit, I'm truly not much of a baker. Something about sifting this, weighing that and dirtying several bowls for different mixing processes really stresses me out, anyone else? When I come across a one bowl recipe that is really good, I can't help but scream about it from the rooftops. So, with that being said, this week's recipe is a one bowl mixing, almond flour based, Blueberry Muffin Top Cookie recipe. These cookies are
