We're spicing it up this Memorial Day Week with our friends at Cle Kraut with these Gnar-ly Jalapeño Poppers. We're serving these up at our cookout and you should too!

If you haven't seen our Instagram today, we're doing a fun giveaway with Cle Kraut, giving one lucky winner a small Perfectly Imperfect Produce Box and a 3 pack of CK fermented goods! You can head over to @perfectlyimperfectproduce to enter. We love Cleveland Kraut for the crunch and the healthy benefits of probiotic goods!

We used some of the rescued jalapeño peppers we've been getting, but if spice isn't your favorite thing- feel free to use the cute little mini sweet peppers that have been frequenting our boxes, too! They're delicious! I scoop the seed and the membrane out of the jalapeños to control the heat and jalapeño have a delicious flavor. We mix some cream cheese, parmesan and a healthy amount of Gnar-Gnar Cleveland Kraut to make a filling and top with a bread crumb mixture. You can bake them or grill them, either way is delicious. Let's dig in!
Gnar-ly Jalapeño Poppers
Serves 4
Ingredients
5-6 Perfectly Imperfect Produce Jalapeño
1/2 cup Cleveland Kraut Gnar Gnar
1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
1/4 cup shredded parmesan
1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs
1/4 cup shredded parmesan
1 T olive oil

Directions
1. Cut jalapeño in half, seed and remove the membrane. I use gloves to ensure I don't have a eye burning accident later.
2. Preheat oven to 425. Line a baking sheet with parchment and set aside.
3. Mix cream cheese with parmesan and kraut. Spoon filling into jalapeño halves.
4. Mix breadcrumbs with parmesan and olive oil and sprinkle mixture over the top of the peppers.
5. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown and bubbly. If you want to grill them, grill peppers over low heat for 5-10 minutes, until melty. Enjoy!
